The application was designed to be web hosted and allows flexible deployment options. The Active Data Dictionary based application ensures stable functionality with a consistent look and feel. The functionality was designed for global deployment supporting multi-lingual, multi-currency and multi-accounting.

TECHNOLOGY

Compiere is designed to change as the business evolves. At any time, even in production, system users can change the information structure of accounting and other business information, adjusting to new needs without adverse impact. In contrast, traditional systems are often accounting driven, resulting in an information gap that is filled by derived information or expensive ineffective bridges.

Compiere provides multiple views of a user's information based on the detail of the actual transactions. This structure allows maximum flexibility and easy integration of supplemental external information. As these are just views of the information in the database, they can be changed quickly.
